GLOW~ Grow. Love. Overcome. Win

Grow. Love. Overcome. Win.
Success defined is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. It also denotes to attaining popularity and prosperity.
By the world standards, on the norm, you're labeled as being successful if you are popular and have monetary wealth. If we all would be honest, we would admit to aspiring to be successful by those standards. Especially in the social media driven society that we live in today.
We are often inundated with images of flawless bodies, air-brushed skin and selfies that mystifies the truth of who we truly are and what we really have. It causes a life of smoke and mirrors, which allows for cycles of insecurities and/or competitiveness. All of which are contrary to plan that God has orchestrated for our lives.
The manuscript for Christian living, the Bible, tells us to delight ourselves in the Lord and by doing that He will give us the desires of our hearts. We are to also commit to Him in everything we do and He will establish our plans.
The key is to delight, commit and submit so that He can establish every aspect of our lives. His ways are easy, not hard.
When our focus is delighting is the things of God, we can stand and be sure that we will have good success. In that process of obtaining good success and being established, we grow in the knowledge of Christ, we learn to lean into His relentless love for us; thus seeing ourselves like He sees us. We are more than overcomers through Him that loved us and because of that we ultimately win!
How do I know? Because I was that broken, insecure young woman who did not know my worth. My value and worth was wrapped in the "opinions of others and things". That was my definition of success. It wasn't until one morning while in prayer that I had an epiphany. I asked the questions what does GLOW mean and why does it resonate with me so much? The echo of it rings loudly in my inner ear and soul. My question was answered.
Like a movie with scenes showing from the beginning to the end, I saw my life. God showed me that everything that I've been through has directly influenced my growth, love for Him, ability to live an overcomers life and win. You see every trial, great and small, played a significant part in the symphony of my life orchestrated by God allowing me to Grow. Love. Overcome and Win.
I believe that you are in some way a witness to what I'm saying and have experience. Listen, my friend, I'm still a work in progress; however because I changed my vantage point, it changed my point of view. No longer is the view of who I am predicated on society, worldly treasures, nor the opinions of others. I have set my affections on things above.
With that said, my challenge for you is to see yourself like your heavenly Father sees you. Success doesn't require you to look and gaze at someone else- it requires you to look in the mirror.
Look in the mirror my sister and GLOW!
